Proofing a script is all about checking it for mistakes such as spelling, grammar, word-duplication and punctuation and any other errors that might illustrate the script as unfinished.
Significant changes to the content of the script won’t be suggested. If that level of attention is needed, a copy-edit should probably be considered.
A copy-edit includes the proofread as described above but also involves exploring the construction of sentences, style and formatting. This is to help make your script flow naturally and to improve its overall readability. Words and phrases will be suggested and some basic screenplay structure changes will be suggested.
This service can be tailored to include a face-to-face (Dublin and surrounding counties) or Skype/phone consultation.
If more comprehensive notes on concept/plot/character/pacing/dialogue are required, a full edit would be advisable.
